COMPULSIVE LIARS WANTED FOR ANONYMOUS INTERVIEW

Hi all,

I am student based in London putting together a project on compulsive lying. The project is purely for the purposes of my studies, and nothing it contains will be published or passed on to anyone other than the few people marking it. And of course, everything will remain anonymous.

I would like to talk to anyone who was or is a compulsive liar. I am interested in your past, your experience of your current problem, your understanding of your lying, the difficulties it has caused you, and the relationship you have with the lies you produce. I believe it could be an opportunity to talk to a completely neutral outsider about anything you like related to your problem, in a completely safe context.

Can you please tell me your operational definition of compulsive lying? I may be able to help you, but I want to make sure we're on the same page and I know what it is that you are looking for.

How can you tell if they're not going to lie throughout the interview? Polygraphs only measure physiological responses, they don't actually show if a person is lying or not. They can be easily controlled, I think they are a gimmick. I know this is an old post I'm just bored.
