Research Survey 'making sense of diagnosis'

Postby GoodHealth » Wed Feb 08, 2012 8:49 am

Hi all

I am a second year counselling psychology trainee at the University of the West of England.

I am currently undertaking a research project which is looking at how people who have been given a psychiatric diagnosis make sense of their diagnosis and what it means to them. The study has been given ethical approval by the university.

I am looking for participants who have been given a psychiatric diagnosis more than two years ago to complete a short online survey (7 questions).

It’s completely anonymous. At the end I will collate all of the data and write a report which I hope may even get published. The reason I'm doing the research is because I feel service users views and experiences are under-represented in research. As a developing counsellor I hope it will enable me to develop awareness, insight and greater empathy.

If you wish to take part the link below will take you to the survey.

Please PM me or post here if you want any further information

Thanks
