Hi,
We would like to invite you to participate in an anonymous online research study about the relationship between negative life events and psychotic-like experiences in the general population and support groups/forums. The aim is to find out more about how this relationship works, as currently little is known about the mechanisms which underlie the relationship and psychological treatments would benefit from a clearer understanding of the processes involved.
Participation is open to anybody over the age of 18 (there are no other specific requirements/diagnoses to participate) and involves completing a series of questionnaires, which will take approximately 30 minutes (this may vary depending on your experiences). You can participate anonymously via an online survey using the following link (you may have to copy and paste it into the address bar of your web browser):
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/psychforums
IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: You are advised that certain questionnaires inquire about sensitive issues, such as abuse and suicidal tendencies, which may be distressing for some. If you think that this will cause you distress, please do not participate.
Participation is greatly appreciated and if you wish you can enter into a prize draw for the chance to WIN a £40 AMAZON VOUCHER (first prize) and two £20 AMAZON VOUCHERS (second prizes).
Please do not hesitate to contact me at: sarah.cruddas@ntu.ac.uk if you have any questions.
Thank you for your help,
Sarah Cruddas, Doctoral Researcher at Nottingham Trent University
