Alcohol post acute withdrawal

Postby Sadhu » Wed Nov 21, 2012 10:32 pm

I was sober for 3 years and relapsed 1.5 years ago. I'v been drinking 6 to 10 beers a day for that time (1.5 years).

I stopped on Oct 24. I'm back committed to my sobriety. Since the day I quit I'v had nausea, foggy head, and headache. I'm now close to 30 days sober and I still have these symptoms. In the past I'm fine/back to normal after 3 days.

My questions are:

When will this end?

I have some valium leftover from 6 months ago. Can I take a small dose of these to help or would I start withdrawal all over again?

Thank you.

Do not self medicate, that is what you have been doing with the alcohol.. Go to AA.. Start the program and work the 12 steps. The best advice is from others in the same situation..

PAW can go on for long periods of time or go into remission..
