We *are* the prototypical "Mad Scientist". But I get to be Grue. I'm older and I played Zork in 1984.

What's the mechanism? There is a cascade of result. *Just* the memory disconnect? We're "speeded up" because we are in constant anticipation. At extremes memories are *stored* even faster, no sorting. We are using the information in our brain literally, not taking time to sort it for social interaction. So emotion is only for that?

I *still* can't wrap my head around a mixed set of prioritized and unprioritized.

So *I* should be photographic under stress. I'm just short of it now. Yep, I went back over stressful events and they're even sharper than the rest of my memory.

I can see why they're so slow.

Temporary "read" blockage? I don't think *they* use the emotion part under extreme short stress. This must be in the writing part.
Temporary read block would speed them up - but not to our level. Damn! "photos" are faster than me! But less motivated. . .

What happens to unprioritized memories in a prioritizing brain? The emotion has to be attached to sort it. It wouldn't get "refreshed" and reprioritized? Al the other memories would? That means we have automatic refresh? We refresh everything or lose it. Or that we don't refresh at all? There's not much to sort, so no reason to reremember? We just crunch what's here? - that's fast.

Memories "fade" only because the others are reprioritized over those memory - *that's* "repressing". Idiots.
Functional mechanism. The memories with no emotion attached fall to the bottom of the stack.
"recalling" the bad memories in a "feeler", would this write a new priority on a memory without priority? God I hope not. I'd like psychologists even less. I don't know how strongly they can rearrange - we can't do that..

So this *is* just turning off the prioritization writing and everything follows . . .probability is high . . .

*They* can do this temporarily, were stuck. Surges will probably burn us out earlier.
