I wasn't sure which category this belonged in, but I figure this one would probably be best!

I'm a 20 year old girl with absolutely no friends. I have social phobia/anxiety/depression, the list goes on. So I'm really trying to become a bit more social (to be honest, even posting on a website is a bit hard), so I was wondering if anyone would like to chat on AIM or something?

I'm glad you could post here, but you might want to take a little time to get to know people more - and let them get to know you. (Trust *is* a bit of an issue here - with me, certainly).

My concern is some mixed message:

This leaves me confused because you say it's hard even to post here -- but you invite someone to chat on AIM ? :shock:

If others react the way I do, they are likely to be reluctant to jump into an AIM chat before there's any other sharing back and forth.

Well, I said 'or send me a message on here', either way is alright. I guess I am so sick of "baby steps", I'm ready for some challenges. *shrug*
