How to deal with overthinking about some dumb things we do.?

Postby Learntolife » Thu Jan 18, 2018 11:59 am

Guys what do you usually do to stop over thinking..
I have a severe overthinking habit that always make me panic and do some awkward and dumb move.. for example yesterday i met my aunt on restaurant i sit on different tables and im done eating first while my uber driver is on the way to restaurant, i just wanna say goodbye to her and her family but rather than walk to their table i said it rather loud from my tables when my aunt saw me, that makes some people on restaurant look at me.. then i go home. At first i thought its normal then i realized how dumb my action is i should have go to their table and said goodbye rather than saying it from far away that make me look like a panic person, i keep on thinking about this case i think about how my aunt family think about me after my move and etc..
Can someone help me to getting over this .. i cant stop thinking even about some little things moreover some dumb things i do.
Thankyou

I used to overthink things so much in my early adolescence too much sometimes my head would hurt even physically. And I suffered from Insomnia just because I worried a lot at nights.I still overthink about things, but not as much as before. It really helps when you let it go.Tell yourself:"It's something that has happened and I can't change the past, but I won't make further mistakes in the future."
Live in the present. That's what people would tell me,but it was really hard for me.It got so much easier after so much practice and effort.I believe it will work for you too.
Hope it helped. :)
