Since OP hasn't been here in more than 2 years, i wonder whatever happened to them.

Blogger29: if you got caught the first time you ever tried, it means this is not a sport for you. Consider it a failure and move on. it is better to concentrate your efforts towards your studies/job/healthy hobbies. I think that for you, this is a case of "the grapes are still green" if you know the story. *Google is your friend if you don't know it*
So far I haven't been caught, but I did come close enough the last time I did. :? in any case it's always been small cheap things, like a cookie or something.

i know that my response is probably not going to help you.. buuuut i can try :P instead of stealing, why dont you just buy the stuff and find something else that gives you that "rush". im not condoning anything illegal, im just saying whatever makes you happy besides shoplifting. Example; Tv,Drinking,Smoking, Fighting (like boxing). stuff like that :)
Don't cry because it ended, smile because it happened :)

I've healed from it by getting therapy. It changed wholly the way I looked at everything in life, the way I wanted things. First, pinpoint exactly the reason why you steal. What triggers you? What things do you want to steal? Then, get professional treatment for your mental disorder. I first read self-therapy free online resources that helped me somewhat, but seeing a real expert therapist in kleptomania and shoplifting addiction was what really healed me. See what kind of therapy is right for you. I got caught several times but never arrested or got any criminal record, I vowed to myself to never get any and I so far, have been successful. Binge spend once in awhile or treat yourself to something really nice, such as a fancy and costly meal or some nice designers' brand stuff. A nice brand new tech device maybe for the hard work you've put into stopping your addiction. I binge spent a lot after I first stopped shoplifting to relieve my want for things. But since then, I've seen a different therapist for it and I've healed from that as well. I've been paying for everything and saving up a lot lately. I wish you could do the same in life. I hope you get professional help quickly.
