When two addictions merge...

Postby BloodyRose » Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:06 pm

Alright so,
First thing you should know is I'm a cutter (feels weird to say that still), anyway, my parents took my blades and I freaked out, without really thinking I went to the nearest store that I knew there would be razors at, I had no money so I simply slipped a small utility blade into my messenger bag. I never intended about doing it again, but it felt so great, I mean I was getting the security of my razors, but I was also getting this amazing thrill of stealing. I know its wrong, and I should stop. I don't even think about doing it, I have to avoid any craft area etc that carries razors of any kind. I know this is weird and extremely wrong..and tips on how to stop?
One fight. One cut. A eternal struggle. Full of Shame. Feeling Dead. "Can you tell? That I pick my poison well?"

Hi, BloodyRose! Staying away from places where you feel tempted is a good idea. Are you seeing a therapist? Maybe you need to get to the cause of why you're doing this. You could use distractions to keep you occupied when you think that you might be tempted to steal. Is there anything that you enjoy, like a hobby?

Uhm...
Honestly I don't really have any interest in my past time hobbies, and I am on a waiting list for my therapist :/
Generally I will just avoid going in, but if I do it feels impossible to resist the urge, unless Im in a place i know I'll get caught...

Ok, hopefully the therapist will help you, when you get a chance to see them. Waiting lists suck...
I was just thinking that maybe something you enjoy doing or someone you love might help distract you.
