I got caught

Postby sevenyears » Mon May 17, 2010 3:49 am

this has made me very ashamed and quite aware of just how low I've been stooping in doing these things..i'm scared now and don't want to try it again. i know it's of course my own fault..
i stole from a best buy several until once they caught me. i was taken to a small room, where a guy was asking me questions like why were you trying to steal, etc. they didn't ask for my name and i didn't have any ID, but i'm afraid that they had used hidden cameras to take a picture of me or something, so they still know what i look like. they told me to not come back to the store, but i don't know if they're just trying to scare me. if i go back after a month or two, do you think they'll still remember? also as i was being escorted out of the store they saw my car, so they might've recorded the license plate too.

I know what you're feeling - I've been there. I was caught stealing well over a year ago now in a well-known shopping market (one of the biggest names in the world actually). The security guy brought me to the back room, showed me the video he had of me stealing, and then said he'd have to acll the police. I broke down in tears and he (and the other guys there) decided not to call them. They took my name and told me not to go back for a year. To be honest, I'll never be back there ever again.

I suggest that you don't ever go back to that shop either. It's not worth the risk. If you get a criminal record, it's with you for life. You do'nt want that dude - it's not worth it.

The first time i was ever caught i was in Shoprite, and after a little while i went back, wearing the same things that i always do (I always wear the same hat and wear my camoflauge huntin coat for winter, and i was wearing them when i was caught) and they didnt seem to notice. In fact, i go there damn near every week to get food, although i havnt stolen from there since (i soon learned that the walmart nearby has almost no cameras).

The last time i was caught i was in Universal Studios in Florida, and they have me on record there now. They told me that i am not allowed back in the park for a year and if i go there before then then i will be arested. I do want to go back eventually and try to find the undercover guard who caught me and actually thank him. Since that happened i have been far more aware of my urges and have been able to repress myself. I havnt shoplifted since, although it is certainly a concious effort.

Let what happened be a lesson. Since this is the first time they caught you then you should be OK, but if they catch you again then you might go to jail and will probably send your picture to other stores in their chain. Modern servailence technology makes this possible these days.
Last shoplift: March 13th, 2010. Tried to steal a Spiderman Dogtag with my girlfriends name on it in Unicersal Studios, Florida. I got caught.

I had been stealing since the 6th grade, I started with a friend. After me and her stopped doing it together I continued on alone. Sophomore year of high school I introduced one of my 'distructive' friends to my world of shoplifting and we started to do it together. It was a win for me because I was 15 and she could drive. After a few months of success we got caught. She got handcuffed and taken away and I was set free to my dad, so very ashamed.

I stopped for a few months, and then decided major department stores were too risky and if i stuck to more simple venues I'd be okay. I kept my habit a secret for another two years until last decemeber I got caught stealing a measly $23 worth of food (It makes me laugh because i had gotten away with 100's of dollars of merch from department stores in the past) I was taken to jail finger printed and now have a citation. Im lucky it was not an arrest but still, citations can be found if someone really wants to find them.

I still occasionaly steal from friends and family but not as much as I used to. I really try hard to resist stealing in anyway. I have stolen 1 or 2 things since my citation, but incomparison to my used to be going from shop to shop everyday I'd say its an improvement.

Your lucky, try to get out of this 'habit' or what ever we are supposed to call this, before you get in too much trouble.

I used to shoplift, but when my sister got caught for stealing an instant camera, it changed things for me.
