Women are definitely hypergamous by nature, something which men need to keep in mind before getting married. Eventually your wife will want to branch out, even if she doesn't want to leave you. It's biological and primal within women, always trying to ensure the best genes for their offspring and trying to pair-bond with the man with the most resources.

So you may make a lot of money and that keeps her around, but she may want a tryst with the younger, fitter pool boy to get his good genotype. It's the way they are.
