About nine months ago I was admitted into a mental hospital, where they told me I had scitzophrenia.
They injected me with with risperidone and my periods stopped, I told the doctors this so they then changed my medications to dipixol and injected me with this, my periods still stopped, they changed me over to another medication and my periods came back, however since being injected with the risperidone and dipixol I have lost my sex drive. I know it is not cause of the oral medication im taking now, cause it started when taking the risperidone. Its been about nine months now and I cant have an orgasm, have no desire for sex what so ever. Its made me very depressed and Im scared that my sex drive wont ever come back.
can anybody help me?

Hi,
An unfortunate side-effect of some medication is that it can cause a low sex-drive by suppressing the production of the sex-hormones. Ask your doctor if there is any medication that he can give which has proven not to interfere with the patient's sex-drive in the past.

hello
Thanks for replying. I understand what your saying, but I stopped taking the medication nine months ago and it still has not come back. Beginning to wonder if it ever will.

Well, I have actually just mentioned in a different thread that sometimes the sex-drive fails to recover after being on medication. It's like it needs a 'kick-start' to get back into working order. I imagine that an injection of a sex hormone could do this, but I really think that you should talk to your doctor about this. I am getting the feeling that you didn't explain the situation too well to him the last time; or else he just didn't listen to you.

...and how do you propose to get such a drug? This whole 'game' isn't just about looking up what drug you might benefit you, because all of these drugs are avilable only on prescription. THings might be different in the USA/Canada actually.

It seems to be used to treat various illnesses, mostly relating to the pituitary gland though. Be careful with this dude... I don't know what source you are purchasing it from but please do not disclose it here. Two things: Be sure that what you're doing is actually legal; and make sure that the source is legitimate.
I'm going to have to lock this thread - I'm sorry dude - because it's venturing into 'iffy' territory. If you like, you are welcome to PM me to further the conversation.
