for about 2 yrs now i have been suffering from a sexual dysfunction, before this i was fine. i find it hard to get an erection but when i do i dont get much feeling its like a feeling of numbness and when i orgasm there isnt much feeling there like i used to get . i think it is caused by been given an high dosage of antipsychotic medication which i had a bad reaction to, i think it has caused some sought of damage to my central nervous system the part that produces testarone and hormones.when i look at pornographic pictures or films i dont get any sexual feelings, i dont feel emotions either like i used to ,like feeling happy, sad, angry, i just feel like i am dead inside . i dont know what to do i am only 33.

tks for reading

Hey,

I'm just wondering: When you look at pornography, do you actually want to look at it, or are you just trying to make yourself want to look at it? Let me put this another way: Are you using pornography to try boost your sex-drive?

There are many medications that affect the libido of an individual. Right now, for example, I have absolutely no interest in sex and I dont get erect when looking at porn. I do masturbate at times but my penis never gets fully erect. I suspect, however, that when I stop taking my anti-depressants that my libido will gradually return.

Hey again

Testosterone has also been associated with depression, did you know? Either way, you can't get testosterone pills off-prescription. You will have to go to a doctor about it.

Hey,

Out of sheer curiosity, can you explain more to me about Niacin therapy? I am beginning to worry that my prolonged use of Lexapro is having a damaging effect on my hormones. For one, I have virtually no sex-drive anymore, but it doesn't feel as if I am low on testosterone either.

Would you be surprised if I told you that many drugs currently in use have not been fully tested? In fact, the European Union only recently brought out laws governing that new drugs must be completely tested in all situations. I don't think the USA have even brought out such a law yet.

Doctors are - in my opinion - too hasty in prescribing people with medication.

This is exactly my problem. My penis is numb. No erections at night or morning. Porn has no affect. That just creeps me out, to look at something that used to excite me now does nothing. How does one get help with something wild like that.

Hey,

Things such as diet, depression, and medication can affect it.
