Male anorgasmia: sexual frustration is just horrible

Postby sunnycalif » Thu Jan 07, 2016 1:03 am

I'm married male and had a normal and pleasurable sex life until a prostate surgery five years ago. My doctors just felt it will comeback and it just needed time. Besides the advice from three different urologist, I also had months of therapy to help me find some pleasure again. No matter how turned on I am, the ability to orgasm and ejaculate is gone. I'm dealing with this most of the time, but when my libido kicks in, I have problems handling the frustration. I don't have anyone to talk to besides my doctor. I know this happens more in women and there aren't any information on men. Looking for possible solutions or maybe just someone to talk to. I don't have any orgasms, even with masturbation. Thank you for reading my post. chris

Hi - If you're on any medications, have you talked to the urologists about which ones might be inhibiting orgasm? There's also a legitimate pharmaceutical that is supposed to help - ask your urologists about that too. If you Google 'male anorgasmia' you'll get some hits where you can read about it.

Also, thanks for providing a name for what is becoming a problem for my partner. His frustration is really really difficult for him sometimes, too.

I'm 57 and have BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) and am on meds for it. I tried some different meds with various results. Rapaflo took away my ability to ejaculate and others didn't.
I was tired of peeing myself and settled on Vesicare. It helps.
I haven't had the surgery, but that may happen some day. I have time to decide. The urologist and I have discussed the options and risks.
Much has to do with circulation, blood pressure and surprisingly, diet. I have to avoid salt, caffine and nitrates/nitrites. Now that the holidays are over, maybe I can get back to eating normally again.
Statistically there are many men with BPH (half of us over 50?) and this affliction, so there should be plenty of support out there.
