Horrified of Cum! Is this normal?

Postby Glitterpuke » Tue Sep 23, 2014 12:51 pm

I am a high sex driven individual even though I'm confused (another post on the gender identity forum area) but I hate cum. I have a boyfriend and when we have sex, he has to jack off into his hand after pulling out. If I see cum or smell it or anything to do with it, I gag and sometimes even barf. Is this somewhat normal? is this a legit phobia or fear? Am I a weirdo? How do I get over this?

Thanks for reading!

I think it's a little unusual that your feeling is so strong. But not weird or wrong. Condoms could solve the issue of having it near you? Reducing the chance of you seeing or smelling it after sex. In terms of getting over it. I guess that treating it in the same way as other phobias might help? I'm not an expert or anything. This is just an idea. http://www.helpguide.org/mental/phobia_ ... atment.htm Is a very long page. But about halfway down it talks about Fear Ladders.

It's important to be gentle with yourself. If you try this out. Don't beat yourself up about it in any way. You feel the way you feel and that's OK. Pushing just a little against the fear can help your feelings change over time.

This is a little usual as Ada said in regards to the strength of the phobia but this is not the first time I have heard of this. Condoms are going to be the surest thing you could use to minimize any "contact" with semen.

This does not make you weird, unusual, abnormal or anything else you may think and you should certainly not be feeling this way. Its something that is beyond your control, you cannot help it but it does sound like you have quite the understanding partner. To answer your other question yes this is and can be a legit phobia just as anything else can be.

In what you decide to do, please always do keep in mind the above. Much luck you.
