Ejaculation causing uti and pain ?

Postby d1900 » Fri Jun 20, 2014 3:41 pm

Hi , I have been having a problem where almost every time I ejaculate I get a urine infection or similar symptoms to a uti , abdominal pain being the worst symptom . It has happened many times for example last wednesday the 11th June , after ejaculation I felt bad pain in my stomach shortly after , the pain is still here 9 days later .

I had the problem very bad as well from the end of february - end of april , I even stopped masturbating for one month , but kept having wet dreams which caused the symptoms to start up again . When I stopped masturbating I was having wet dreams almost every day I even had three in one night , which was making things a lot worse . I find antibiotics help to clear up the symptoms but as soon as I ejaculate again the symptoms came back , it's very frustrating because the pain is bad and I have no way to stop it and no way to stop wet dream ejaculations in the night , so feel I have no control over it .

I have told my urologist doctor about the problem but he was not interested in listening or helping me . I will look for another doctor , but was just wondering if anyone else has experienced these types of problems or has any idea what could be causing me these unpleasant problems and symptoms ?

Many Thanks

I'm no expert or professional. But definitely think you need a new doctor. If antibiotics are helping. Then it could be an infection like urethritis. Or prostatitis. And in that case the antibiotics are getting rid of the immediate symptoms. But perhaps aren't knocking out the whole problem. You'd need to identify the specific cause [hence a new doctor. :D ] and then take the right antibiotics for it. And don't stop taking them when things feel better! You'll want to 100% wipe out whatever's causing the pain. Which means taking the full course as prescribed.

You may not need a specialist, either. You could try your GP or Primary care physician and see what they suggest. Since they can order a range of tests without needing to refer you on.

Could be bacterial or non-bacterial prostatitis, or both. Have you tried levofloxacin for the possible infection and a muscle relaxant like eperisone hydrochloride or tizanidine for possible muscle spasm or mytonia? You need to figure this out for yourself because urologist are not likely to be much help, maybe even dangerous.

Hang on! People taking random antibiotics is part of why we have an imminent disaster with antibio resistant diseases. Better to get some good tests and target accurately. You're not a doctor and neither is the OP. Being informed is good! Prescribing for yourself is dicey. Prescribing for someone else is plain against forum rules.

My own miserable experience with bacterial and non-bacterial prostatitis and dangerous offers of unnecessary surgery and procedures lead me to take the matter into my own hands and finally recover. Thank God I did not follow the advice of urologists or other doctors I saw but instead read voluminously and experimented from the pharmacy.

I'm not prescribing the guy anything but suggesting him to investigate levaquin (one of the few antibiotics that can pass through the prostrate membrane) and muscle relaxants which may relieve the abdominal pain. I would also add that once you have exhausted all antibiotic options start jogging, stretching, and moving frequently and see if that helps? Also hot and cold baths, gentle massage, and relaxation. Study study study! Look at a long course of terazosin too.
