I have found that the euphoric excitement associated with most aspects of this type of sexual activity is a habit that has been particularly difficult to break over the years.
So true. And sex can be the drug of choice!

The worst part about being a sex addict is...(for me)...the guilt and shame of not being able to heal yourself when you know you just keep repeating the same cycle over and over again for YEARS.

The worst part for me is knowing that I've hurt people who care about me. And also the worry about getting a disease (when I am in the middle of it I don't think about that, at all;,but when it is all over I know that is a possibility; thank God I am on birth control!!).

The worst part is what you lose.

Urges creep up like an itch. Not like a bout of dry skin, but more like a severe case of poison ivy. It is a burning, unquenchable need.
There isn't much morality or concern for circumstances when I'm in this state. Being bisexual makes it all too easy to find participants.
Eventually, I scratch the itch and my conscience is restored afterwards leaving me feeling guilty and empty.

The worst part is the hiding a part of yourself and the worry if that side of you is shown will it be accepted. The second worst part for me is having it overtake me to a point that it could cause damage to myself.

Yea - this is probably the worst part. Especially if you have a problem you can’t tell therapists about ... just turns into a spiral of secrecy that becomes a compressing weight. Not that life has any guarantees but it’s just a bad deal to struggle with. Doesn’t help when you layer on a few other psych problems but at the very least what you call “the worst part...” can lead to depression which really stinks

*hugs* hang in there

The worse part about being a sex addict is never being completely satisfied. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy sex, I cum, it feels good, but 15 minutes later I’m ready to start all over. I look at women as sex objects which I know is wrong. I just never can get enough. It rules me and I want it to stop.
