You were mistreated, abused, degraded, sexually molested ... these are various words, just like "rape," that stir up emotions and convey a wrong that was done... and hurt you.
These words also have various legal, medical or psychological definitions which might not technically be termed rape.
Therapists, doctors, lawyers and well-meaning friends sometimes want us to use certain words because it fits their categories.
If a child is made to do any sexual act, that is wrong, illegal and depraved. Clearly you were sexually abused as a child, regardless of terminology. You were sexually assaulted.
It is totally OK for you to describe that bad experience in words that are accurate but also make sense to you.
It's your real experience and I highly respect that you are coping and pondering what it did to you, and struggling honestly with how to understand the aspects of abuse.
