Can anyone help refer me to some good reading material for emotional self help. I am an emotional person and tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. I have good intentions and am a good person. However, in my personal life I feel that more often than I'd like I let me emotions show too often, at times when I should not. Emotions can overcome me in certain situations and I act on my emotions. This tends to affect my relationships, most particularly my relationship with significant others'. Are there any books you would recommend or questions you have that would help refine what I am looking for in a self help book? Thanks, Rob

Emotions are such a wide ranging subject. I have been to 12-step EA (Emotions Anonymous) meetings and they have suggested literature like books and brochures.
Getting a perspective on how you relate with other people on an 'emotional spectrum' also helps.
Look for and read the EA big book?:
