I think it's normal for strong personalities in any direction to influence your own. I know if I'm hanging out with someone really calm it makes me more calm, someone more anxious it makes me more anxious, someone more outgoing it makes me more outgoing, someone who is more serious it makes me more serious, etc.
There's nothing wrong in seeing merits/flaws in other people and it's normal to be influenced by others to varying degrees. Maybe this means you're just still finding yourself and growing? I do think as you get older you become more and more secure in who you are.
So many people in the world are 'faking it til they make it' and have to feign confidence at times. You're not alone in this. But if you do feel like you lack confidence then perhaps seeking out things you would normally avoid is a good way to boost it? ie. public speaking, joining a sports or hobby team, working out, etc.
