He'll be getting money for it soon.
I don't know who in the state you would need to talk to to go about getting it, but apparently it is possible.
He said the idea of getting free money was cool, but he also felt bad because it meant that he still wasn't better yet.

Just thought I'd offer that if you're struggling to survive on low finances, though I would recommend as I did for my friend to continue taking steps to recovery so you don't have the need to accept money for a disability that can be overcome.
I wish you luck! :)

Exactly. So I think that won't be an option on the table for me anymore. It's too troublesome now to get it.

Yes you can recover without a doubt. It can take time. Ultimately it's up to you. It mostly takes a shift in perspective. And a lot of facing your fears. The feelings that you have are just feelings and can't hurt you and no matter how debilitating they may seem, can't hold you down if you don't let them.
I think it's important to realize that no matter what our culture promotes, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being quiet and sensitive!
I've found what helps is when I'm able to focus outward and not on myself. The truth is, most people are pretty insecure whether they seem to be or not, and every one just wants to be accepted and appreciated. So when I am able to get outside myself enough to empathize with others and respect/be kind to them, things are so much more relaxed. And also remembering that what I think others are thinking of me is never ever what they actually are, at all, is helpful. So RELAX. You're a unique being with so much to offer the world! Constantly remind yourself this. Also I've found that my physical state really makes a difference on the way I relate to the world, so eating healthy and getting excersize has helped me a lot and may be beneficial for you too.
Best of luck to you in your recovery.
