I'm a teenager and I have trouble speaking to most of my classmates. I can talk to friends and friends of friends, along with teachers just fine. However, when it comes to classmates that are new, or like to poke fun at people I cannot physically bring myself to talk. Whenever someone like i described tries to talk to me i get shaky and i freeze up and cannot bring myself to make any noise no matter how hard i try. I have anxiety issues so i was wondering if it is just anxiety, or do i have selective mutism?

It sounds like you do, see if you can get help from your parents and a doctor for a diagnosis

It does sound like Selective Mutism, but if you haven't done so already I'd double check with a doctor. I had Selective Mutism and I'd freeze up whenever I had to talk to anyone other than my parents. Just sounds like what I had to go through.
