Scared I'm being controlled

I daren't imagine what sort of relationship would help me. I would love to be in a gang that relies upon my art to make money. So i could be tolerated for being weird. But I think my inner zombie self is beyond my control. He snaps at people in subtle ways. I once dreamt my best friend was Freddy Krueger and he was trying to be nice to people but it just didn't work and people were afraid of him and he could see it in their eyes. Just as I've seen it in people's eyes for real.

Freddy turned bad again and it turned nasty. The real Freddy Krueger is much scarier than the film version.

That's pretty scary in itself because Freddy Krueger could only hurt people in dreams, right? So, it's really distressing that you actually dreamt of him. Who knows - Maybe he's real. I certainly liked his black and red striped jumper. It's kind of like Cobain's black and green one which he wore in the Smells Like Teen Spirit video.

I think Cobain had a thing for FK. He had a doll of him which he hung. I often dream of the cheesy paedo. :D I look like him. My delusions centre around him to some degree.

His jumper was green and red, btw. Not black and red.

In the original script it was red and yellow, presumably to match the jumper of the tramp that scared Craven as a child.
Red and green are traditionally the colours of the fairy folk. Magic. In my delusions I link Krueger to Robin Goodfellow. In one story, Goodfellow even gains his magic powers in his dreams, by reading a scroll. Krueger is, of course, played by Robert Englund. Robert green and red and England turn up again in Robin Hood. His Lincoln green was actually red.

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Talk:Lincoln_green

All are tricksters. With associations to woods and forests. Elm Street for instance.

Rob was changed to Hob, as in Hobgoblin. Another name for Goodfellow. Hob or Hobb has become a name for the devil. Hence Bob in Twin Peaks, who also hangs out in the trees. And Hobb's Lane in QUATERMASS AND THE PIT and Hobb's End in IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS.

I could go on... :D

Rob is, of course, my real name.

I've just added to the delusion map.

There's a street in my city of Hull called Land of Green Ginger, with a mystery as to why the name is so.

Green and ginger. Green and red.

Hull is linked to Robin Hood by Little John, who in one old story claims to be from Holderness, a part of Hull. Which links to a weird and emotive dream I had as a child about Robin Hood and a landmark (an old mill) in Beverley, just north of Hull.

Just in: A novel called Land Of Green Ginger.

"This well-known and well-loved fantasy adventure was written by Noel Langley, the screenwriter for The Wizard of Oz, and contains original Edward Ardizzone illustrations throughout. The Land of Green Ginger is the story of Prince Abu Ali, the son of the Emperor Aladdin of China. When Abu Ali is born, the Genie of the Lamp announces that his destiny has already been foretold; he was the one chosen to break the spell of the Land of Green Ginger and restore the Magician - turned into a Button-Nosed Tortoise by a spell that went wrong - to his normal shape. You'll find magical fantasy, adventure and excitement within the pages of this book - but most of all, you'll find ridiculous wit and humour to appeal to all age groups (whether child or adult). "

My delusion is that I am a magician waking up and regaining my powers.

I hasten to add how mad all that sounds and would never tell anyone face to face. :D

Of course anyone could map out coincidences.

http://www.screenonline.org.uk/tv/id/1202180/index.html

"Alan Plater's characteristically affectionate, witty, poetic and musical evocation of Hull, 'Land of Green Ginger', was shown nationally in the Play for Today strand, marking a highlight of the regional drama culture overseen from BBC Birmingham by producer David Rose.

The play does not simply record Hull, although Plater's stipulated locations are served well by director Brian Parker's location filming, both in poetic shots of the city and river Hull and semi-documentary observation of everyday details and people. Hull is partly romanticised (as Plater notes in his script, don't expect cold reason in a place that gives a street the mythical name Land of Green Ginger) from the perspective of Sally who has moved away. However, Sally resists romanticised images, sardonically replying "Lucky old us" to a journalist who intends to write about the area and who describes "mysterious Northern mist" behind Hull people's eyes."

I was born 1973.

No $#%^ - you live in Hull? That's over on the east coast, isn't it? I am scared to ask you if you are a football fan, so, I won't (but are you?). There has been a strange coincidence just now, revolving around your post about The Land Of Green Ginger book. in this book they talk about Aladdin, apparently. Guess what? - I just ordered Aladdin the Disney movie today from Amazon.co.uk. I think I'm just throwing fuel onto your delusional fire here though, because I just regard this and everything as mere coincidences.

I knew you'd find some link to my delusions. :D It doesn't take much to make a web of any randomn info. And of course my increase in psychic ability ( It's REAL!) is purely coincidental and fed by suggestion that springs from my delusional network.

Football? I don't relate to any sport. In fact I hate sport, especially football and especially football fans. I think it breeds discrimination and a tolerance of stupid working classes.

It should be banned or I will kill it with my powers.
 /

I had the strongest of feelings that you wouldn't like football. I have to admit to liking it, but I hate the type of other people who like it. Plus, I resent the fact that footballers get paid more in a week than some people get in a year. How is that right in a moral world? I guess the world isn't actually moral. Football fans are stupid for going to the games, because they're just paying these guys' wages.

I mentioned football in your case though because Hull City are a relatively small club and yet are in the Preimer League.

I'm think that Gazza won't be on your Christmas Card list, no?

I would be surprised if any schizotypal liked sport. It's hard to care with real people, so caring if some rich bloke kicks a ball into a net would be impossible. Because if you think about it, it means absolutley nothing to anything. Unless you gamble.

It is horrible to see thousands of people getting emotionally involved in football. Seeing kids crying on their dad's shoulders. People getting angry. No offense, but it is proof that people are robots and not actually that real or important. The fact they can take on a belief that something matters when it patently does not. yuk|! I'm not exaggerating when I say that this observation of the love of football has marked my philosophy of life in general.
