Friend with ghost hallucinations

My roomate's girlfriend, Noelle, has told us that for the entirety of her life she's seen ghosts of children. She usually tries to block them out but they still show up especially at night. Most of the children are harmless and just stand at a distance and observe her but this one girl in particular has been creeping her out recently by just hovering over her and, just last night, the little girl tried to touch her which sent her into violent convulsions ending in her passing out for a solid 5 minutes. I know she's not faking it but I can't tell if she's actually having paranormal experiences or if she has some sort of psychological disorder. I don't know if it's schizofrenia but I'd thought I'd post and see if anyone has had similar experiences or can shed some light on what this could possibly be. Thanks a bunch guys .

Your roommate may have a psychotic disorder. If she is not having delusions, disturbed thoughts, or hallucinations other than these children, then she is probably not schizophrenic. It is possible to have hallucinations from other mental conditions such as depression, bi-polar disorder, personality disorders, or many other mental conditions.

Then again, she could just be seeing the spirits of children. I don't profess to know all about the paranormal.

Woah. This sounds just like something my friend has. My friend sees ghosts in her house, she has a few, but it's mostly noah. It's kind of ironic we became friends, she was one of the main helpers of developing my schizophrenia, because (although I had it before I met her) we would get together and create these hallucinations together. The only difference was that I was only audio, and she was both visual and auditory hallucinations. We had this huge thing going, where even the ghosts could take control of our body. We would get in these huge fights, but it wouldn't be us, my ghost (Benny) and her ghost (Noah) hated each other, because when they were living Noah stole Benny's girl, but in the end we learned that the girl (who was also a ghost, forget her name though) had been forced into the relationship. I don't know if she was lying or not, though, she might have been, because Noah denied this. The girl was kind of evil. Then, there was also a demon in my hallway and it always scared the crap out of me because one time she "possessed" my friend, and said she'd kill her and her baby... which was another hallucination, she still hadn't done the... thing that you do to get pregnant, but she thought she was pregnant, but it was just a hallucination. She thought a lot of things. She's thought that she was a vampire, a shapeshifter, and even a CAT one time. She still talks to her ghosts, though most of that is over, and she also claims that she sees lips on objects and the objects talk to her.... sorry I'm not much help... I just wanted to share xD
