Weird intense feeling inside my brain, does anyone else get

Postby Guest » Sun Jan 08, 2006 5:32 pm

Hi,

Their are 2 symptoms that I have. I hear voices and the other is a little bit wierd. Its like this intense feeling inside my brain. When I'm on meds I'm usually to knocked out to feel it. But I've had this symptom for the past year when I try to do without the meds. It's just this intensity feeling. Like chemicals in my brain are releasing this intensity chemical. It's not painful like a headache but just weird and dosen't feel quite normal. It seems to increase after I've done some heavy excerise like running or biking. During doing those activites my brain feels fine and how you'd expect it to when doing such things. It's after say when I'm sitting on my coach. Like I said it's not painful like a head-ache but just a weird intense feeling. Does anyone else get this and does it get better or worse with time?

honestly, a tumor can make somone act schizophrenic, but you may just be extremely paranoid, i used to think a little girl lived in a room in my head, her name is suzy, and i didn't get the wierd head feeling, i don't know what that is about, but idk, what i would do is get a catscan, or brainscan of some type, this could tell you if there is actually somthing there, or you are just "imagineing" it
somtimes, it's like i want to touch these lights, and give into them become them, just a flash for a moment~in this world

Yeah I have had a cat-scan and it showed that my brian is totally normal. But it feels real not like a hallucination. It feels like my intensity brain chemical is always on especially after working out!

It's most likely caused by the medication. Even when you stop meds the damage meds cause stay. I've been off meds for 22 years but I can still feel the damage (chemical lobotomy). It has lessened over the years though.

Yeah this issue kinda concerns me. And it's tough to know wheather its apart of my illness or if its a left over side effect from the medication. I wish I knew so I could handle it better, as for now I'm back on a low dose of anti-psychotics to treat it.

In defense of meds I know of 2 family friends who take anti-psychotics and both are doing really well in life. Also some people smoke weed, cigerettes and/or drink everyday. That couldn't be to good for your brain either. All I'm saying is everyone abuses thier brain a little but life goes on and most people do fine. Honestly taking a low dose of anti-psychotics daily is probeblly a lot healthier then taking a few bong hits daily.

i'm wondering what kind of meds are you taking and how long? i believe your receptors are damaged. i think the antipsychotics hangs on to the receptors and blocks the neurotransmitters but in doing so i think it puts a lot of stress.does the weird feeling go away when you start back on the antipsychotics? please answer.

yes it does, i took 25mg of seroqual last night and have been sympotom free for the last 24 hours. It's a tough to know wheather its a long term side effect from the med or wheather it's a part of my illness. I guess the best way to find out is to ask others who have taken anti-psychotics. When you went off your meds did you get this weird intense feeling inside your brain?

say that it is a long term side effect from the med. then what can I do to make it go away. i suppose its worth giving it a shot anyway. time didn't seem to help it last time. I mean I took 25mg of seroqual everyday for 3 months and then stopped for 4 months. during those 4 months I experienced that intense feeling inside my brain. it sucks. its sort of like having a head ache because it's constantly their bugging me. any suggestions on how to treat the intense feeling without anti-psychotics?

i'm pretty sure it is the medication that is causing your weird feeling. did you know that the medication can actually change the structure of your brain. without it, the brain needs to readjust again but never like it was before the medication. the longer you stay on the meds, the more you are dependent on it. you are like trapped. i believe if you go off it, you will only feel numbness or dead tissue kind of feeling. someone hear suggested using gingko b. and flaxseed oil and vitamins. they are good nurishments for the brain to develop.
