Hallucinating during class

Postby Red.Raptor » Sun Sep 18, 2011 1:37 pm

How do i deal with visual hallucinations durin school when i should be paying attention? Especially since its college and i'm paying to go. I try but they're just there!! I see the words on the pages move and black marks floating - like a language i'm supposed to know. Its wierd i dont hallucinate often but always in my classes. I know i cant stop hallucinating, but how do i deal with doing it during class?

I assume this is just a problem in regards to gaining the information via reading your book..... are you able to take lecture notes, or record the lecture? That would help you not to fall behind in studies. Then you could always set aside time outside of class to read your book. Does this happen all the time when you read?

Im the same way. but if i can get a good focus on words i can usualy stay there. i cant listen to lectures though. thats nearly impossible. Im failing my classes because of it.
You could look for a nice person and get notes from them.
or get some meds.

For the sake of your schooling, you should probably just try your best to categorize it as a delusional hallucination and tell yourself it doesnt mean anything. or maybe they are important and you should try to write them down and figure out patterns and what they could possibly mean.
I chased my hallucinations and found something spectacular.

See a doctor as soon as you can. Medication can be a great help. Unfortunately for me I had to drop out because I couldn't pay attention in class. With the right medication may be able to finish your schooling.

Sometimes I get distrubances in class all different kinds. What can help you out with that spectra particularly is something like valium which would dampen them. Also in this article they talk about the different types of causes of visual hallucinations. The worst reading hallucinations ive gotten was after taking 2ci a couple of times, the words would just be waving and my ceiling staccato would move around like little ships. Though your best bet would be to switch antipsychotics, even a low dose can target them.
