Say more about what the buzzing sound resembles. I have had a high-pitched ringing in my ears for about 4 years now, the doctors like to call it "tinnitus" and it is very irritating.

get the same thing..i dont definately know if im schizophrenic or not..have to go to the psychaitrist some more...but almost ever night when im lying in bed (sometimes not...ill be at school or something) this noise like a buzzing will start and then get really loud to the point it hurts but i can control it if i (this sounds stupid but it makes it go away) either look down or to the left and breath out...if i look up or to the right or breathe in it gets louder again..its very annoying and really hard to fall asleep with this going on..in addition to the "voices" and things floating around my room...sometimes this drowns out the voices though so its nice for a second...

My doctor says the buzzing is from anxiety

I've read that buzzing and ringing sounds can be part of schizophrenia. It's caused by the heightening/altering of senses that schizophrenics have, i think. For example, people with schizophrenia can become much more sensitive to lights, sounds (everything seems too loud and too bright) smells, touch, and taste.

I occasionally get high pitched ringing and buzzing and ding-ding sounds in my ears. usually, they only last for a few minutes at a time, but sometimes longer then that.

Schizophrenia could be an explanation to the lights flickering and voices calling my name. Because if they're not real then they're hallucinations, and if they are real, no one else notices them (enhanced senses). But I know sometimes it's not real because I've heard voices in my head and seen lights in the dark or with my eyes closed as well.
