I'm looking for autobiographic books about schizophrenia or related to schizophrenia. I usually don't read non-fiction; because there's always a part I already know, and I don't like repetitions, I rarely like reading it… Autobiographies are different, however, since they offer an entirely new, subjective perspective of their own experience.
I myself would definitely recommend Renee's Story to anyone interested in schizophrenia, and especially to schizophrenics or psychiatrists. Renee writes with more introspection and understanding of her condition than I could ever have hoped. When I read this book, I could actually imagine what it feels like to be schizophrenic (though, admittedly, I've already been halfway there anyway).

Furthermore, Aldous Huxley's the Door's of Perception often mentions schizophrenia, and describes related states of consciousness.

Anything else? Please only mention autobiographical literature. There's loads of essays and textbooks about schizophrenia, but few autobiographies.
