Metabolic Disorder related to Schizophrenia

I'm looking for the name of a metabolic disorder often found in schizophrenia, characterized, among other things, by imbalanced blood levels of certain minerals. One of the more characteristic symptoms was white spots on fingernails. Can anyone help?

I don't know the answer to this, but I know that Arsenic poisoning causes white marks to appear on the fingernails. Maybe this also affects the brain...?

I just recalled that the name for those white spots is leukonychia. Googling that with schizophrenia yielded a search containing the word "pyroluria." That was it! Thanks for reminding me. ^^

Don't jump the gun. Pyroluria is a condition hyposthesized by a group of doctors that have been discredited by an overwhelming majority of the medical profession.

I got it from the Wikipedia entry on orthomolecular medicine. They have a section of pyroluria.
