Community treatment order

Postby Gillespie0705 » Fri Aug 03, 2018 10:30 pm

Hello I’m new.
I have been wrongly diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic by my psych. I believe he is part of wider conspiracy to harm me with illegal “psychiatric drugs” but here comes the dilemma .. he’s put me onto a community treatment order under the mental health act and I’ve been on it since April. And Ive been told it’s being renewed I’ve been recalled twice. I’ve been to tribunals and haven’t won them as they say I lack insight into my condition and “require the legal framework”. I am forcibly injected each month with 400mg aripiprazole and they are trying to make me take 5mg Olanzapine too ontop of that. I don’t take this and reluctantly take the injection. They won’t give me tablets as they say I won’t take them ... they say my medication isn’t working and I’m still flouridly psychotic ( I’m not I just know there evil plans) and they are looking at putting me onto olanzapine depot.
Does anyone know how I can get off my cto and stop the conspiracists and supposed mental health teams from poisoning me with illegal drugs?
Has anyone been on olanzapine depot how did you find it?

Sorry for the rant, any help is appreciated ..

Where are you located? Did you commit a crime that requires this?
I am pretty sure that's illegal here in the USA and you have the right to refuse medication.
OTOH you could be in denial about your condition and need the medication (no offense). That is a common trait among mentally ill.
Be kind to everyone you come across because you never know who’s suffering inside.

I’m in the UK, and no I haven’t committed any crime. Apparently you can be put onto one after you’ve been on a section 3 Mental Health act. I didn’t think I could be on one as i didn’t agree to going onto it. it’s just I need to get off it and off forced medication...

If you are sane, the meds will not „poison“ you, as you write. You can expect they make you passive, tired, withdrawn and in the worst case dysphoric. We know that from the experiences of soviet dissidents ;) Also they are not „illegal drugs“, their legal use is widespread.
I know a lot of cases of forced treatment, and it seems you have not yet driven the escalation to the maximum. Lets not talk about 7 point fixation, closed stations at the ward, concrete syringe, conflict with the police and forensics... you still have the opportunity to give in and cooperate. This is the way to play the game, and I strongly recomment you go down that route. It is a simple bargain. You get freedom for cooperation. If you are compliant, they will no longer force you to take your meds. And they will even listen to you and take your needs in account if you try and learn their language. Whelcome on the psych-scene.

I am actually now back on an acute ward after being sectioned again.. they forced me to have zuclopethixol (clopixol)this evening but I am not ill, nor do i need there “medications” for that matter. I’m trying my hardest to play the game but it’s hard especially when it feels as if the whole MH team are plotting against me.. *sigh*
Guess I’m jsut feeling sorry for myself..

Maybe I should have shown a bit more empathy. I am really sorry you have to go through this. You see, there is always a grain of truth in a delusion. Or even two. Try to find the strength to act clever. When they believe they can trust you, you will get a lot of privileges. I was allowed to walk in the wood, while others were fixated in their rooms. There was a hole in the fence, but I was a prisoner nevertheless. Later they set me free and gave me psycoeducation and bowling and gymnastics and spare time at the cafe and in town. You can fight the gorilla, but you can‘t win. Make the best of it. I hope you have someone to visit you. Crossing my fingers for you.
