I remember my psychotic episode, a large part of it was physical. I remember a delusion was that it was anarchy outside because the government collapsed and I heard people talking and hollering outside the bar that was across the street and I was basically spasming, shaking uncontrollably in response to that stimulus. Or when I was in a mall with my brother eating food, a delusion was that people could read my thoughts, during which I had homicidal ideation, so I thought everyone knew I wanted to kill people and they hated me for it. I was sitting there shaking. To myself. My brother said "I'm going outside, when you're done having a nervous breakdown let me know ". I'm just interested what the mechanism is responsible for these motor symptoms of schizophrenia.

This shaking is not a symptom of schizophrenia, it is a symptom of anxiety.

And it was anxiety caused by a delusion, a delusion which could possibly be caused by Schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia has brain changes that cause these symptoms. Once you understand that it is your illness, it may be easier to cope with them and recognize the symptoms and ignore them or fight them (I laugh at many of my delusions now). Your friends and family (and coworkers if you're comfortable telling them) will learn to recognize them in you as well and hopefully not judge you for acting strange.
Be kind to everyone you come across because you never know who’s suffering inside.
