What are you beliefs about life, death and everything inbetween?
Im not schizophrenic, but ive had a psychotic episode..which was...interesting.
Anyways, I find myself constantly asking the big questions, and so far, I believe:
-Good and Evil do not exist, they are purely subjective.
-Life is meaningless, as we are born without a mission.
-Time does not exist, as it cannot be seen, heard, smelt, touched or tasted nor can we manipulate it in anyway.
-Reincarnation exists, as we are but particles and energy, and in the cycle of life our componants will be re-used by other forms of life, so we become a part of that life, just as a cow becomes part of my body.
-Reality 'may' be a dream..as we do not witness it first hand, but instead we witness our own perception of reality.
-There is no god.
-There was no beginning, there'll be no end. Remember, time doesnt exist...for me anyways..
-The letters on my keyboard are moving..strange..
-Most of all, I believe the teachings of buddha.
-I believe in fate, and believe free will is an illusion of thought.
-I believe that society is a mistake, and people should return to being innocent. Technology can only solve the problems that technology has created...
-I STRONGLY believe people should be free to take sacrements of their own choosing. We should be teaching peace, freedom, love, trust instead of exercising control, punishment, revenge and greed.

So theyre my way of thinking...Debunk me by all means, as I am searching for truth, not recognition. Please add anything you want to, say anything you want, but try to teach truths instead of ridicules.

peace.

Truth of mine:

- Malaysia is a beautiful country
- "Life is meaningless, as we are born without a mission", but to find a mission...^_^...
- There are only 2 types of human "MALE and FEMALE"!!
- and I fall in the group of Female
- We can never hide anything under the sun..
- Buddhism in not a religion, but philosophy...
- I love coffee
- I love comic, movie.....and many more..
- I love my family!!!
- I respect other religion, but sorry to say, I never believe in GOD too...
- I beliece in fate too...
- No one in this world can read others people's mind, so... we are free to think whatever we like, we love or we want... Sorry to say, but no one can stop me on what I WANT TO THINK OF!!!
- "Time" is just a name for a thing that to answer "when"..^_^..
- ..........

Above are my "believes"... ^_^ ... there are still many of them... but cannot recall now.. ^_^ ..

Have a great day!!

Aha, Very nice. I think in almost the exact way that you do. lol, it's funny because I have also had a psychotic episode but do not have schizophrenia. hmmmmm, maybe briefly leaving the so called "reality" that we have made up in our own minds has made us search for a deeper purpose and in doing so we have come up with the same assumptions/beliefs. Strange. Ever since that experience I have found myself thinking very deeply. Even about the simplest of things. The whole reincarnation thing blew my mind, because this is something that I say in almost the exact words. The whole time not existing thing, I'm right there with you. We only ever do experience the now, so time is mind made, not reality. There is only ever this moment. The future is only a perception. When the "future"comes, it is still only this moment. If that makes sense. Past and futute moments only exist when you remeber or anticipate them, and you do so by thinking about them in the only moment there is: this one. Our entire lives unfold in the constant now.
"good and Evil do not exist, they are purely subjective." I believe the only one perpetrator of evil on the planet is human unconciousness. Meaning there is no person who is evil, but the unconciousness that commits these acts is the only one evil.
-The letters on my keyboard are moving..strange..

All things are vibrating energy fields in ceasless motion
Life is meaningless, as we are born without a mission
.
This was my conclusion for the longest time. I do not believe that there is an outer purpose, so to speak, but an inner. ummm, Inner purpose concerns Being and is primary. I think that our inner purpose is to become conscious fully. It is the essential part of the purpose of the whole, the universe and it's emerging intelligence.
I guess I'll add a few of my own..
-Due to the complete lack of self awareness, people cannot tell the difference between an event and their reaction to the event.
-True feminity is suppressed
-knowing yourself is to be rooted in being, instead of lost in your mind.
-All things are interwoven, where nothing exists by itself.
-Thinking fragments reality and cuts it up into conceptual bits and pieces.
- The body is just as vast as the universe
-Wisdom is ot knowledge. Faster computers or intellectual analysis is not what humanity needs. It is wisdom, which is the product of pure concsciousness.
-The mind made "me" is insatiable.
-"Mastery of life is the opposite from control" >ancient zen master
_ Dogmas- religious, political, scientific- arise out of the belief that thought can encapsulate reality or truth.=conceptual prisons.
-The mind is not always just searching for food for thoughtit is also looking for food for its identity, it's sense of self.
Okay one last thing because I know I becoming long winded here.
Please answer me this..
What is it in the human mind that loves to feel bad and calls it good?

Thanks for sharing Fried, very thought provoking.

lol..anyways, no reply to your riddle at the end...whats the answer?
And ponder this: If we were without language, what would our thoughts sound like? What exactly is a thought?

I don't know. I was asking you silly.

I have always wondered how we think when we aren't thinking about thinking. Do you think, maybe we may not even always think in words? Maybe just like images or some process that we can't comprehend. This is a difficult question, because when you think about thinking you automatically start thinking in words. I think that I said "think" about a million times in this post.

I think visually most of the time. Like a kind of slideshow of pictures that somehow make sense, that induces a kind of feeling.. like the feeling a person gets from thinking in words when they come to a conclusion, the "ah-ha" feeling, but without the unnecessary word formation I imagine, though sometimes I'll become more aware of what the images are and they no longer seem to have .. "hidden meanings", it's just a flat picture. Like just now I thought about something and my brain @!@@@! through about 4 different changes of scenary in less than a second... hmm, I wonder if most people think like this but maybe they just arent as aware of it?

I notice a lot of these thoughts tend to have a background of somekind, like places I've been.. and I have thought things while being in that scenary, often when the scenary changes it is because I thought about something related to what I was thinking about initially when I was in a different location. I often wonder if a reason I feel more depressed in winter is because the background images tend to be dull and grey to reflect the changing scenary.

Most of the time I'll need a peaceful environment to get into a good thinking trance :p but I like it, I imagine it probably is kind of like meditation. I need a lot of alone time to be able to think.

anyways, not sure if this really made sense to anyone but whatever :p

oh.. to add, it's also the reason I'm extremely forgetful, as soon as I lose track of the images it is damn hard trying to remember what I was thinking about/intending to do... I have done it several times today and it is very frustrating :p not to hijack this thread or anything, hehe, I just don't understand how people don't think like this.

"Think".. when come to me it is seldom picture or "movie", but more to a sound.. When I think, there is no "words" in the head, but sound.. like I think I am going to do this and that.. then all the plan come in a "sound" where I cannot "read" the words in my mind.

However, when come to think some kind of funny things, then it will turn out to become pictures or "movie". So it is actually depend on situation.

When I'm planning something, it will more to "sound"; when I'm thinking of my design, it will be "picture" for sure; when dreaming also more to "movie"... Ehm.. never to me that it come in "words"..

...^_^...
