Hello everyone,
I'm diagnosed with schizophrenia since 2008 and with a personality disorder since about 1997. Since 2010 I am taking Solian 200, one pill per day, each night, along with 1 mg of Lorazepam. I started with 400 but after a while my dose was reduced to 300 and the 200, all according to prescription by my doctor.
I would like to know the long time side effects of these medicines, particularly Solian which is a powerful antipsychotic. I have gained weight (not as much as with the Seroquel I took from 2008 to 2010) -I usually take test to control I am not getting diabetes- and I had sexual disfunctions that mostly disappeared when cutting down to 200. I also have some difficulty to sleep normally.
But I am not sure about how this medicine is affecting my emotional world. I'm worrying about the fact that I might be feeling emotions less intensely and thus losing part of the joy of life. This worries me and I will mention these doubts to my doctor in my next appointment.
Keeping on topic, I would like to know experiences with this medicine by other people taking it or by doctors. I can very well Google for its side-effects, but I would like to get first hand or experts opinions.
Also, a bonus question: I recently scored 146 on the WAIS IQ test, administered by a psychologist. It means I am highly gifted, with an IQ of about 1 in 1000 people. However, I wonder how my IQ might have been lowered by these medications. I mean, maybe it could be higher. I took some Haloperidol back in the twentieth century, Seroquel and Tranxilium from 2008 to 2010 and Solian from 2010 to 2014. Any hints on how my intelligence might have been affected by this?
Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to provide.
