Desperate one last chance to help a friend before they die..

Not sure where to start with this really but i am desperate for some advice on what to do for my friend....

I have a friend, she is 25 and has had a drink problem for at least 5 years. She’s been through some tough stuff but I think that she is finally starting to lose the plot. She sleeps with a lot of men and tells them she loves them after the first night having sex with them.

She is a compulsive liar to the point that I think she believes her fantasy’s are true. The latest lies have been grotesque in the sense that its got beyond a joke. Being gang raped, she believes her parents are dead (they have practically disowned her having failed to help her through her alcohol problem but they are alive and live fairly close to me) she told someone recently that her mum died of cancer and her dad died in a freak wind surfing accident and that her step dads name is Bob (her real dads name) she even has his number in her phone as Bob. She told me recently that she’s training to be a mechanic which is untrue but she could name the place, the people she works with, the time she has her lunch break, goes to work, leaves work. She told a friend my brother beat her up (they were in a relationship for a year), the list is endless. She has apparently been and escort and lived on the streets but I just haven’t a clue what to believe anymore.

I would like to know what the typical diagnosis would be for this behaviour, is there a diagnosis so that I could at least read up on it and see how I can try and help some how?

Other symptoms are things she’s starting to say “they are coming to get me”, “if you let your barriers down they come and get you, they are coming for you too”….I’m definitely sure that this has to be some kind of mental illness and I was wondering about Narcisstic Personality Disorder?

She has tried to kill herself before, she has collapsed several times and been in hospital, plus she has been in rehab twice and re-lapsed. She has a plastic lung, bad asthama, and GORDS disease, the doctor said that if she doesnt stop drinking she'll be dead before she is 30 as her liver and kidneys are in such a state.

I have people begging me to help her as I am a friend that she attaches herself too, I have done so much, shed many tears over her. I contacted her parents and tried to get them to help. I went with her to some AA meetings but she didn’t carry them on without me……..

This is my last bash to help her, I am surprised she is still alive, but if she passed away tomorrow and it meant that she could finally in peace, so be it. I cant carry the guilt around with me, so this is my last shot, if anyone is out there, please can you guide me?
