Schizoid Playlist

I am not much into music. Sometimes I try to make a conscious effort to listen to music but give up after around half an hour or so. The only time I can listen to music is when I am doing something physical like jogging or biking. However, if there is one song I will include in my schizoid playlist, it would be "Lemon Tree" by Fool's garden. But it may be because I listened to this song over and over again thousands of time over a period of six months as it was my sample mp3 file while working on an mp3 decoder project.

I mostly listen to instrumental music, or take a regular song and strip out the vocal tracks (love the music to Enimem - The Way I Am). One that comes to mind, though, is Merle Haggard - The Running Kind

I listen to anything with interesting beats, so a lot of Tool (Lateralis, Jambi, The Pot), Hybrid, Perfect Circle, Dead Letter Circus, Skrillex, Deadmau5.

For me, the composer Chopin captures perfectly the frustration of being Schizoid. All the awkward sharps and flats, the extra notes, his music is defiance, and never just does precisely what your brain expects which keeps your teeth on edge and makes your body tense. Listening to Chopin is exhausting, just like my Schizoid life.

Also I have recently rediscovered Prodigy, in particular their album Fat of the Land. Diesel Power (a personal favourite), Firestarter, Climbatize, Narayan. The chaos of Prodigy (as an example) is what I see out there around me, and I'm always on the lookout for music that does that.
