I had to really think about this one. NietzscheWisdom*'s already mentioned a lot of horror movies so I'll make a couple of more unusual recommendations. First books though.

Books: My favourite book is generally whatever I'm currently reading. At the moment this is "Sins of the Night" by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It's one of her "Dark-Hunter" series which are supernatural tales of Dark-Hunters (good vampires) versus the Daimons (evil vampires). It's very erotic and there is quite a bit of Greek mythology involved although it is set in modern times.

Also worth reading if you like the supernatural are Kelley Armstrong's series which begins with "Bitten", and Kim Harrison's series which is less serious and begins with "Dead Witch Walking".

Movies: "Pump up the Volume" starring Christian Slater. He plays a quiet new kid in school who at night becomes Hard Harry a pirate d.j. shock-jock. His monologues range from masturbation to teen suicide and they are all very funny.
It's from the late '80's, so the fashions look a little dated but you can probably get the d.v.d cheap.

Also worth watching is another Christian Slater movie "Heathers" where he plays the coolest sociopath in school. Again it covers teenage problems but it is very darkly humorous.

Music: I just turn on the radio and listen to whatever comes out. Normally I'm tuned to a classical station.
If I had to recommend one c.d. though it wouldn't be music it would be Bill Hicks "Rant in E-minor". For more info on this take a look at the "Just for fun forum" under the topic "Night of the living dead ?!?!?!" posted by NietzscheWisdom*.
