Being BPD seems cool. Make people do your bidding and be at your service all the time.

a lot of times, bpd's aren't trying to be manipulative - they're just so upset by every little thing that they come across that way. and even if they are a master manipulator, having tons of emotion all the time over every little thing and all the instability and confusion would be terrible.

the more i hear or read about bpd, the worse it sounds.

I'd prefer to be Borderline, lets face it Schizoid is the the most boring and monotonous of all the PD's.

Borderline is the most annoying and painful of all the pd's.

so you'd rather be in constant emotional pain, want more than anything to be loved but scare everyone away with your constant RAGE, and not know who you really are than just simply be a boring loner? and at that, a boring loner who doesn't care if other people think they're boring? XD

most of us are happy the way we are. the borderlines sure aren't.

Re: Would you rather be Schizoid or Borderline

Postby cheshire3 » Tue Feb 19, 2013 11:58 pm

I went through a period after I started college where I freaked out over the possibility of abandonment from friends, I think partly because I had no family around for the first time in my life, but I've always been shy and solitary for the most part. I'm actually more interested in socializing when I'm sad, which I haven't been in months than when I'm content. Unlike borderlines I have a very strong sense of identity, but my personality is not to everyone's taste if I show it all. I don't connect with people powerfully. I may start off thinking someone and myself are just alike, but I am quick to notice the differences and then I become less interested in them, or I try to rationalize how we're similar, even though I know we're not. Like, I may have lots of superficial things in common with someone but it's as if we're programmed differently and see the world differently. Like borderlines, I experience random, but frequent bouts of paranoia towards loved ones, recently towards sudden noises or movement. I just developed strong noise anxiety over the past few months. My anxiety and paranoia make me hostile an aggressive. Also, I went from wanting friends and feeling insecure without them to feeling so self-assured and in my own world that I can't be bothered with other people. I now have trouble communicating with others and processing what they are saying. I find myself zoning out, stuttering, or forgetting my thoughts as well as what they said. I can only understand very concise and slow speech from others. Socializing seems like more trouble than it's worth, but I'm not depressed at all. I just feel more comfortable and complete in my dream world. When I think I'm alone and it's interrupted I get almost possessed and homicidal I'm so distressed. I feel like I can't function unless I'm completely alone. My dream is to live in seclusion. It's weird though because just months ago I was obsessed with friendship and the idea of loyalty from both sides and got upset when a friend seemed to grow bored of me, but now I'm the one who genuinely doesn't care or have strong emotions. It doesn't make sense.
