Always closed, and if its got a lock, its has to be locked. I've been like that since I was little, when my mom or dad would make the door stay open, I would usually go "run away" into the closet and sleep in there. Partly because I tend to talk outloud to myself quite a bit and would be embarrassed if someone walked in on me while I was doing that, partly because I feel safe and unwatched with the door closed, and then partly because with a locked door, no can just barge in whenever they feel like it.

CLOSED DOOR! Definitely, ever since my mum died I've kept it closed. I don't know why or what had got into her when I was a little girl that she would never let me close it!

I think that is why now I am the way I am. Reclusive after longing for privacy soooooo much.

My bedroom door is closed whenever i am in the room (95% of the time). If it was open, i would never be able to sleep because everyone is so loud and leaves lights on. Also, if it was open, people would be able to sneak into my room easily while i am sleeping, leaving me vulnerable to attack or theft. So, the door is always closed and is very loud when it gets opened so it would wake me up if anyone would try to enter.

My door is closed 95% of the time. The only exceptions are when I'm feeling sociable(almost never) or when I bring a girl I've just met to my room. I feel like closing the door behind a girl can be border line creep ass

I used to keep my door closed all the time when I was living with my parents. I opened them during the night though, cause I don't like to sleep in closed rooms.

If there are other people around I would normally keep my door closed. These days I'm more likely to have the door open though, to let the dog(s) in and out so I don't have to listen to all that indecisive whining. Where I live now (a one room apartment) I always lock the front door as soon as I step inside.
Okay, so, ten out of ten for style, but minus several million for good thinking, okay?

I close my bedroom door when I'm sleeping if there are other people in the house. If not, it's open. During the day I leave it open if my room is clean, closed if it's a mess. I don't lock the front door when I'm home. Only when I go out.

I probably would like to close my door at night more than leave it open, but I have two cats who insist on being able to come and go as they please so instead of being harassed all night with their whining and scratching, I just leave the door open. but I try to put something behind the door so they can't push the door all the way open. I don't like my door WIDE open. I don't like to see the hallway or the blackness that peers in from the doorway.

Also, I second Cirvante. I can't sleep with my back to a door.

For some reason I always turn my back to the door when falling asleep, lol. :P I have no idea why. It's always closed when I sleep, sleeping with the door open just feels.. weird. I have done it when it was very hot in summer, but I don't like it.

In the daytime I used to have the door open because of my mother. She would always complain if I closed it, so yeah. I didn't usually mind though. Now I keep it closed, but I'm not the only one living in this house, I just rented part of it. I wouldn't like the owner seeing my room or what I'm doing.. that's rather personal. Even though he barely ever gets upstairs, I just like my privacy. When I get a house of my own I'd probably leave my door open more often, since there's no one to worry about. Sleeping will always be with a closed door though.
