Do I care if they are faking or not? If a Nazi kills a Jew because they TRULY believe they are serving their country, does it make it ok? F*CK no. F*CK them. And F*CK that.

I think he means Godwin's Law has been invoked :P .

I'm on the fence with this one. I would say that Onecontent is a moron, but it's possible he's slipping into schizotypal. Demons and whatnot, and the sort of bizarre structure his reply takes. I would have reacted in a similar way (and have, before, the last time someone gave the proposal that someone was possessed by a demon), but it may be best if we lay off this one just because of the nature of this forum.

Wow, cool! I never heard of Godwin's Law before. That's interesting :)

Hahah. It's an internet thing. "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1." Also, the individual that first invokes Godwin's law in said discussion automatically loses, because comparing one's opponent to Nazi Germany is just about as pathetic an argument possible.

Or so it says :P . I don't agree with it, as sometimes opinions are genuinely comparable to Nazism, but it's really just fun to invoke it all the same and watch the noobs rage and the net vets laugh.

BoT, sorry.

Re: The Mother Kill

I entered the search terms "intrusive mother and schizoid" and found this thread. I was looking for information on the topic. This thread was interesting until I reached onecontent's post and I almost decided to leave this board until I read further to see others thought it was bizarre too. That post actually sounds like the kinds of things my intrusive mother used to say (about people and things being posessed by demons). Anyway, so my mom was extremely intrusive my entire childhood and I'm extremely private as an adult. I was searching for a connection, but of course that can't be the entire answer. There are so many variables and choices we make to handle the situation. I don't think I'm schizoid but I liked your post. (I'm open that I may be schizoid but I don't think I quite fit the description perfectly.)

I really appreciate this forum, and reading other people's experiences. I have had suicidal depression over this issue for the last 30 years. My sister as well. There is no way out I feel. Either I die, or she dies. I have actually contemplated it both ways. How one person, one human horror show can do so much damage is incomprehensible. I know you got angry with a poster for bringing up God and trying to jack your thread, but I feel the word Satanic is apt to describe these mentally sadistic mothers. Anyway, it is helpful to see that I am not alone and that others have gone through the hell of detached Schiziod mannequin mother. I have seen several therapists and they all told me the same thing. Stay away from her. The 10 years I did stay away from her were the most productive of my career. I worked my way into a 6 figure job and was doing fine. My life went into auto-destruct sequence right around the time I let the bitch back in. Unfortunately, I didn't figure it out until it was too late. Marriage gone. Career gone. Descent into alcoholism and depression.

Take my word for it. If this is your mother. Leave. No email. No forwarding address. A schizoid mother will destroy you. She is programmed to destroy you.

Get out of my brain!
I love my mother and all, but I was just finished writing in another thread about how she couldn't handle my tantrums etc, and now several sentences I read here would very specifically apply to her.
I'm not bitter or anything though. No parent is perfect and her situation was far from perfect when I was small.
