That was my point. If it is true that laughter is a form of social interaction, then schizoids might have their problems with it. And if it is true that most people do not laugh when they are alone, but some here do, then that might also be a specific schizoid trait.

I almost don't laugh. I find many things amusing, mostly some unintentional correlation of events (Steppenwolf's image is a good example) or some uncharacteristc stituations (schizoids having a heated debate on a forum). I find such things amusing, but it doesn't really make me laugh.
Hard for me to describe the difference in english, but the difference is there.
I'm self diagnosed with a very severe and incurable case of "being Sabratha".

As you say, laughter is a form of social interaction. I laugh at genuinely funny things, which is almost never the garbage flying around the office which the stupid people are guffawing at, but could be something funny being said on TV or in a book.

I am going to scream if my cousin comes up here one more time on the phone, and doesn't stop laughing her way through the conversation. There is no moment where she is without laughter...it engulfs her every word.
I wish she would learn to use words instead of sounds. This is driving me nuts.

Some that made me laugh out loud in my cubicle at work:

This comes from a forum (baut) I often go to and there was a thread about "The zombie plan".

"A Zombie Plan is your own personal plan on how you would survive if Night of the Living Dead style zombies suddenly took over the world and start hunting down the last pockets of living survivors for their brains.

Zombie Plans are important to have for what should be obvious reasons. "

Maybe I'm just odd... but I laugh significantly more often when alone than around people. I'll easily laugh at online stuff and things like that, as long as I am alone.

Yes i laugh quite a lot, either with people or by myself when i think of something funny.

Although when im by myself and outside, i make sure noone notices as it is kind of weird someone laughing by themselves, that means they're crazy :)

Same here. In fact, I'd say about 90% of the times I've laughed in recent years is when I've been alone--when I'm with other people, it always becomes a moral and behavioral issue. So I usually don't laugh much in groups.
Protip: Before you say someone's being "too emotional" in a debate around here...read this. Please.

The only thing I can think of which predictably makes me laugh, is Jerry Seinfeld. Otherwise, I can't think of anything funny. Actually, I have a folder of images on my computer which I think are hysterical. Here are some of them(I broke into hysterical laughter just flipping through them. That was nice):

I'm in the minority, never though Jerry Seinfeld was actually *that* funny on TV, although his live performance which I saw many years ago; outstanding. Usually I find Jerry a total whiner, guess that's the role. Elaine Benes and George Costanza are the best imho, although complainers too. Kramer you can have…yuck!

About the only show I watch religiously on DVD is 'Boston Legal' (I have every season)… James Spader and William Shatner are too funny, but maybe not appreciated by all. Maybe too sick and cynical too.

'The Office' had it's moments at first, but the show has run it's course perhaps.

SpiritParticle -- I do like your pics tho!
