Emotional Vampires

Nature generates all this suffering (war, etc) and on top of that, instead of us being robots carrying out all this destruction, we're "human beings" who are supposed to eat our hearts out over it. Well that's emotional rape.

So I don't understand why people don't get this. Why do they try to get me to care? Why don't they want me to be content and sane?

I don't believe emotions are supposed to make sense. Those of us who try to make sense of the emotional world will always fail. I believe this is a big piece of why I took myself out of it. What makes me different?
