Superiority Complex

Postby CityMouse » Thu Aug 09, 2018 1:59 am

I find almost all people to be complete idiots. They make me very, very angry.

For example, they routinely encourage me to get angry. And then when I DO get angry, it escalates and blows up in my face. Then somehow, it's MY fault because I was "pissed off," so now I deserve to be lectured about NOT getting pissed off.

You can't win with people.

My trust is sacred. I don't see people as worthy of my time or consideration.

I know to stay away from these predators if I want to be happy.

I think most people think being stressed out, embroiled in constant drama, and overworked is just normal. They don't stop to look at the bigger picture, as in "what's my life purpose?" I have asked people in their 30s what their life purpose is and they say "I've never thought about that." Amazing.

Idiots.

You sound like Marvin the Martian.

I hate to break it to you, but probably most of the people on this planet are muttering about idiots. Even the really, really stupid ones.

It is pretty worthwhile to learn to reign in your anger. Otherwise, how can you keep up the creepy air of indifference and aloofness that schizoids are so famous for? You are letting down the team.

Don't worry. Go burrow in a hole somewhere. Serenity will come.

Can I relate to people aggravating me? A little. It doesn't happen often. I am a well of patience.

It happened once last week, but I can't remember the last time it happened before then.

There are several things that you said in your post that I have a hard time relating to, I think, just because I don't get angry in the same way you do.

Similar to the anger post, I find the way people do things to be frustrating. While I think they are idiots for doing things in certain ways, it's just their nature. I don't find myself to be superior, just different. I have a way of functioning that works for me and I excel at it. Changing the way I work or the way they work isn't going to make things better, only slower for each other.

This is why I think about the ASD diagnosis. I am pretty sure my brain is wired differently. If given the chance to work in my capacity, I am very efficient. However, I am usually stuck doing it the "normal" way and it is very frustrating.

So, it's better to be a recluse and live in this world without taking real part in it. It seems the more one interacts on their level, the more angry one gets.

I do find many people to be idiots, and sometimes it's amusing (thanks youtube) but I don't really get angry about it. I'd say I think "hey that person is a complete moron" and then move about my business.

There's no superiority complex with me. I just see the overwhelming majority of people as being misinformed. Here in America, they are brainwashed by corporate media, capitalistic culture and the capitalistic free market system. From early "schooling" to adulthood, they are taught to believe in this capitalistic system (without ever really questioning it or talking about a resource-based World economy or a resource-based economy of a given locale...***think The Zeitgeist Movement or The Venus Project, for example***).

So...they never REALLY see the system, itself, as so flawed that it needs to be completely replaced. It's always the old cliche "battle" of neoliberalism vs. conservativism. There's really no room for critical thinking here in America (or elsewhere). The system, itself, is always preserved.

Sure...there's a little mental effort in critical thinking. And going with the flow is easy. But, there's something to be said for putting in some effort towards the critical thinking department. You'll see a whole different World. You'll be enlightened.

Sure, there is misinformation, but that doesn't take into account each individual's capacity for intelligence. People have different potentials, and some just don't have the capacity for high intelligence or being open minded. Not trying to be harsh, just an observation.
