It’s just such an epic mistake and people recoil in horror at everything I say — and I’m on the functional end of the spectrum. Sometimes I feel that describing how schizoids recoil from relationships, the literature fails to mention how others recoil from relationships with us.
Do you feel as though others are more uptight with you and less likely to give you social credit, and if so, why do you think that is?
No, most people don't project being uptight with me. It makes sense really. I'm projecting detachment and mystery (most of the time).

When I attend family events, people literally never ask me any questions about myself - which I greatly appreciate as I absolutely hate any sort of attention directed towards me. I prefer to sit quietly while others talk about themselves. They usually enjoy my company as I'm a good listener and seem genuinely interested in them.
The only problem is that on the rare occasion I do speak, my speech takes weird turns - like if someone tells me about something they heard on TV that day, I might bring into question the validity of the news or go off on a tangent about the corporate media, etc. I live in my own little mental bubble, so when I communicate, I'm not really thinking of the other person at all. I don't feel a mental/emotional connection with others, so I don't tend to follow social cues and niceties.

I can understand the thing about the corporate media. My philosophy is to just say no to corporate media and that we need a resource-based World economy (think Zeitgeist Movement).
Indeed, I approach life in a very, "the problem is systemic" kind of way.
