Anyone on risperidone for SPD and do you find it helps. I am on risperidone for a few nearly two years now and I don't find it makes much of a difference.

They use low doses for SPD and I think they also use for autism

Pills, you gotta love pills.
Either they dont do $#%^, more than cost you a lot of money.
Or they are personality changing and addictive (next after alcohol and nicotine - prescription drugs are the biggest addiction in the western world.)

Nah, stay away from quacks, they can't help you.

I've never been diagnosed with schizoid personality however i do have major motivation issues and lack of social enjoyment and tried rispridaul when i was younger. Some people have had some sucess however for me it was a terrible experience. I felt dull, lifeless, really tierd, and i couldn't think clearly. My memory was gone and it took me forever to make decisions. I couldn't solve problems as quickly and i almost got a D in math that quarter (this is pretty bad for someone who skipped two grades) so needless to say I got off the rispridual.

I have a friend however whom took it for schizophrenia (he had a lot of the negetive schizoid-like signs such as lack of emotion, motivation or social desire) and he seemed to become a bit more social and began to show some emotion however like me he had major memory difficulties so it was not so much of a cure.

I'm eager to hear of anyone who has had some sucess with rispridaul or any antipsychotic with schizoid. I was unaware that they had been used.

I also tried risperidone, which made me feel weak and lethargic.
The dose was 0,5-1 mg if I recall correctly. The experience gave
me a negative opinion of anti-psychotics. Fortunately, I read
enough research to develop a more thorough and objective
understanding of matters, allowing me to test sulpiride.

Initially, I had great success with sulpiride (50-200 mg/day divided
into 2-3 doses), but unfortunately, I became tolerant, and all
efficacy was lost in the 3rd or 4th week or so of starting it. I do
recommend trying it, or amisulpride (50-100 mg once daily), which
is equivalent for most practical purposes.

I'm currently trying methylphenidate (Concerta) with sulpiride, in
the hope that they will potentiate each other.

The only fundamental difference between prescription and street/
recreational drugs is that the former have the blessing of the
establishment, whereas the latter are demonised by it.

You can get amphetamine as a prescription drug for ADHD or
narcolepsy, or you can buy it on the street as a drug of "abuse".
The same goes for opiates, DXM and various other stuff.

I used Risperdone in the past, but I really don’t know how it affected me emotionally because it made very sleepy and all I remember is falling asleep all the time.

It makes a difference all right, a big difference; maybe not for you, but someone is definately benefiting from this. Who? Like maybe, i don't know, the pharmacuetical companies perhaps...? You didn't honestly think these people had any intention of helping you, did you? You have to remember about the business, it's not about helping you, it's about helping themselves, which is to try and make as much goddamn money as they possible.

And let me guess, you went in and tell the doctors this drug isn't doing $#%^ for you, then they increased the dosage, didn't they? And for nearly two years now, come on that's rediculous! Was that their brilliant recomendation as well, to keep you on something for that long knowing it isn't doing $#%^ for you, or do you just like putting strange foreigne chemicals in your body for no particular reason? Why the ###$ would you keep taking something for that long when it isn't doing $#%^ for you?
