Ha! I don't even know why I get the urge to post especially when I know I am not adding anything useful. If I was still young or at that time realized my personality was considered a disorder, I might have been able to pinpoint something. The problem is, it's never been an issue unless compounded by a mood or anxiety disorder.

Anyway, I think your summary hit on the general points. There is a close tie to avoidant so some of those depressive traits could show up there. Also, Schizoid can be comorbid with dysthymia.

Have you been on reddit also? Not sure if I asked that before. If filtered appropriately, you can glean some consensus from posts.

Yeah I've been there. Thanks.

Funny, I found an interesting post on Quora's site just a minute ago.

Right here.

I posted that link on reddit about 6 months ago because I also found it interesting. I wish I had more awareness and the ability to put it into useful words.

I picture most things and it takes some time to get it into language form.

Top to down processing.

Same here. I find impressions and images flow into consciousness much more readily than language or semantic thought. Often the translation process can make my thoughts seem wishy-washy which isn't ideal. I can also be critical of my own thought process because it's not a rigorous reasoning style to have something 'appear' out of thin air. I try to tame it with formal systems but to do so is I think bastardising or constraining what I find most interesting about thoughts. I suppose there has to be at least some test against something strong not to fall into delusion.

That's why i post here for one. If someone can take the chalk out of my hand and say, " this is what's missing and 'ill show you," all the merrier i say.

The frustrating part is that it never happens, or proved otherwise, but i'm more or less certain, otherwise i would not post the idea. The ole thought that two witnesses make something objective comes to mind. For example if you are alone and you thought you saw lightning in the distance, you might just think that, but if you heard it through someone else it is no longer subjective - it becomes real.

I'm the type to shy away from confirmation bias poison.

We all have cognitive short comings, unfortunately.

The funny thing to me is that it might make perfect sense to me, what i post here, but the audience might be laughing about it in internet land.

" This guy is a poor scholar."

"You hip shooter."

......etc.
