Why do you never make new threads?

I observe that there are some that make new threads consistently...to create discussion. There are also some that never create new threads.

Has anyone else noticed? What is the cause? Shall the burden of new topics and discussion be carried by only a few?

Is it shyness, or ego, or pride...if your thread isnt answered, the ego blow is too much to bear...or another reason? Not able to think of topics?

You dont feel guilty freeloading off of the topic makers?

What I don't understand is people who sign up and never post...for years.

I didnt mean to make them self conscious. If they are very shy and retiring, then I apologize. I am sorry! My intention is to encourage people to make new threads.

I think some people who never make threads are perfectly happy doing so and some make valuable contributions to the forum.
