p.s. Easyasπ is that Dali painting on your avatar?
IDK - it came from the in-house gallery here. It has some of his surrealistic style, though.
But I'd rather have my own avi.
I think it gives the moderators less work to have it this way, because some offsite uploaded avatar might be offensive

We used to be able to use offsite avatars but upon PF switching to a secure server they were disallowed.
Supposedly, offsite avis are coming back but I'm not holding my breath.

I disagree, schizoids mostly just interpret traits like avolition and anhedonia as depression, I know I did when I was younger.

Depression is a state of mind, those are just traits, its different and is simplistic to see correlation of symptoms and think same diagnosis. I have traits that could be called "antisocial" but I am certainly not AsPD.

Perhaps, but I personally do have rare depressive moments, short moments of profound sadness when I let myself feel and I kind of enjoy them (since they substitute that usual emptiness/numbness). After them I get to my usual self, I even forget there something wrong for months until someone/something else highlights it. Don't you ever wish you could be more like everyone else? Don't you get sad thinking about it, about not being willing and able to connect, to reach out, to need it enough to actually do something about it? Don't you ever think that you're missing out on life? Making the promises of change for tomorrow and then discarding them in the next instant.
But still I'm kind of ambiguous. My emotional lifestyle is both my safe haven and my prison. It seems to me that same walls I've built to protect myself are the very thing that is imprisoning me... being a willing comfortable prisoner too scared of unknown. Wishing someone would come and be persistent enough to tear them down... I for sure know I won't do it on my own. I have great pride of my emotional self-sufficiency yet I wish I was more human (emotionally vulnerable yet instinctively doing everything to make yourself bulletproof). I know it's stupid... but sometimes "I wish I was a real boy not this piece of wood I have become".
