I sold my car when I moved back to the city. To make up for that, I don't recycle.

I kept failing my driving test when all around me were passing theirs (at school), so another reason to feel rubbish. Ten years later, took zillions of lessons with a very strict female instructor, and passed. I don't drive far, and usually always to the same places. But I'm glad I can do it. I love feeling superior to all those French drivers who still don't know where the indicator is.

I don't drive either. I was learning in my teens, but I had a parent who was an alcoholic. They drove drunk with me pretty often and we had some close calls that put me off the idea entirely. Not that I was crazy about it to begin with. Something about cars makes me skittish.

I might like to try for my license again, but not anytime soon.
