I didn't mean to disparage selfishness by this comment (sounds like I'm going on a moral crusade myself). Selfishness is from where the entire deriving of satisfaction in my life originates.

A.Q: 33
E.Q: 20

When I was a kid my favorite fantasy was that nearly the whole human race would be wiped out by some sort of plague, leaving the few remaining survivors in pristine peace and quiet.
Today I have moderated that wish with the realization that without the infrastructure there would be no Internet. Is that the only use I can come up with for having over 6.8 billion people on this planet?
Think outside the (litter) box.

A.Q.: 26
E.Q.: 8

I thought i’d score a little higher on the EQ test, checked a lot of ‘slightly disagree’ or ‘slightly agree’- boxes, but I guess that wasn’t good enough.

I’m not good at reading faces.
It’s kind of invasive and creepy that other people can. I like to be in full control of what I give away and what not.

I can speak a couple of languages; body language is not one of them.

E.Q. 17

I may have a slightly higher score on the empathy test but I generally don't care for other people outside of my family at all. I even find often caring about my own families situations hard at times, I do care for my family though.

I've read of some evidence (MRI scans) that people with autism / Asperger's syndrome
don't use the "specialised" part of the brain that normal people use for processing faces,
relying instead on their "standard" object-recognition centres.

I don't know if that applies to schizoids as well.

Ayn Rand, the author of such books as "Anthem", "The Fountainhead" and "Atlas Shrugged", also known for her philosophic writings, would agree with you that "satisfaction in life derives from selfishness". She argued for ego and selfishness both being virtues. Co- authoring a book with the psychiatrist, Nathaniel Branden, "the Virtue of Selfishness".

A lot of versions of this test score "Slightly disagree" and "Disagree" the same!

Same here, except I fantasized the whole human race was wiped out (except me) and I the only survivor in pristine peace and quiet.
