i will also advocate the IT field, specifically software. developers focus the entirety of their creativity inward, theres minimal contact with people and oftentimes you can set your own hours. remoting from home is the end game in this scenario.. its not perfect, getting there can be a bitch, and apathy can be a problem as you age, but personally id be completely useless doing anything else. just some advice, hope it helps

As a general observation, when you change your job, or role, you're just replacing one headache with another, with the possibility of it being worse, but not any better. Therefore, all options are pretty much forfeit.

Nobody does.

Oh, not even people who are in the wheelchair AND mentally on a 3 year old's level (for example)? Nice...

This is what relatives are for, so no.

Oh, so if the relatives are poor/disabled themselves (or otherwise unfortunate)/jerks/dead, the person in question just deserves to die for not having "proper" relatives. Ok, your stance is clear.

reading your posts inspires a distinct image in my mind of a certain group of people. those that turn up their nose and spit while spewing vapid bs about anything they don't understand in a discussion.
i can't exactly say i get pissed about these things, but it nevertheless leaves a sour taste in my mouth that this attidute still exists in a world where any information is so readily available, and it's so easy to get educated on almost anything. mistakes and misinformation can and will happen, but not thinking any farther than the edge of your skull is pretty impractical.

I've had enough arguments to write them off as hopeless cases, and I can't say that my cognitive empathy reaches out to them :P Let alone my emotional empathy. Or sympathy.

Why are you attacking me? What happened to politeness? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Do you think getting educated necessarily means sharing your own beliefs and taking offense at whoever disagrees with you? :|

So you feel attacked now after practically stating that disabled people who don't have rich relatives should just die off...

So would I be entitled to an opinion that people who hold views like yours would be better dead. I guess not?

It was quite common and still is common in some places around the world to let the elders and the sick die, or to make it so that they can pass away quicker. Sometimes it is better for the poor soul and for its relatives since it is one less mouth to feed.
Surely you think keeping them alive for the sake of living and letting them rot in hospitals is more humane? Well I disagree.

Actually not at all. I'm all for euthanasia.
What's your real point anyway? Do you yearn for a primitive tribalistic society or something?
